A Little Fib – Print

The prints are printed on the Epson Stylus Pro 11880 and 9900 printers with Epson Ultrachrome K3 and HDR inks. These are water-soluble pigmented inks that significantly outperform lesser ink technologies, providing consistently stable colors. These inks are long-lasting (“archival” or “museum quality” are common phrases), and they enable true color fidelity, gloss level, and scratch resistance.

The paper they are printed on is Hahnemühle Bamboo,290 gsm, 90% Bamboo fiber, 10% cotton, natural white.  This is the world’s first fine art inkjet paper made from Bamboo fibers. Hahnemühle Bamboo meets the highest industry standards regarding density, color gamut, color graduation and image sharpness while preserving the special touch and feel of genuine art paper. These prints meet the highest standards of quality. I’m sure you will find them very beautiful.

Prints are shipped in tubes. Please be careful when unrolling the product, or leave it to your framer to open. They need to be unrolled and allowed time to relax and flatten out. The prints should be framed under glass. I choose to use museum glass, which is less reflective and provides the work with protection from the sun. Framing with museum glass for a 30″ x 40″ print is expensive. You can expect a completed frame to cost you between 500 and 1,000 dollars from a high-quality framer.
